Sweeney Honored at Georgia World Congress Center CeremonyPosted July 12, 2006 in News
In a special ceremony on July 12, 2006, Dan Graveline, the Executive Director of the Geo. L. Smith II Georgia World Congress Center Authority, unveiled a portrait of the late Timothy J. Sweeney in the Authority's new Executive Board Room. Tim was a founding partner of OGEJS, and had been the Authority's lawyer from the time the Authority was created in the early 1970s until his death in November 2004. As its lawyer, Tim skillfully managed the Authority through four expansions, the construction of the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park, the Olympics, two Super Bowls, and a multitude of other events and projects.
