Kolczak Recognized for GAWL EffortsPosted June 18, 2007 in News
During the 2006-2007 Board year, Amy Kolzcak served as GAWL's Vice President for Public Affairs. In that position, Ms. Kolczak had oversight responsibility for the formation of GAWL's Judicial Applicants Review Committee (JARC) and the "It's About Time" study. JARC meets with and provides feedback to Georgia's Judicial Nominating Commission on nominees for open judicial positions throughout the state. The Committee also reviews requests for endorsement by judicial applicants running for office in Georgia. The "It's About Time" study is an ongoing evaluation of alternative working arrangements in the legal profession, and the committee expects to publish a follow-up study in the fall of 2007.
Ms. Kolczak will serve as both Honorary Chair of the "It's About Time" study for the 2007-2008 Board year, and as a Board member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Foundation, GAWL's 501(c)(3) sister organization.
Owen, Gleaton, Egan, Jones & Sweeney, LLP, is proud to be a Silver sponsor of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.
